Disneyland's famous cheesy garlic pretzel bread is what dreams are made of. You can find it at Maurice's treats at Disneyland California.

Backstory
So here’s the thing—I live in Florida, just a quick drive from Disney World, and yet somehow I’ve never had Disneyland’s Cheesy Garlic Pretzel Bread from Maurice's Treats.
I know, shocking, right? Apparently, this little gem is a California favorite, and it’s been all over my feed—oozing with creamy, garlicky cheese and baked to golden perfection. Obviously, I couldn’t just let that slide.
So I did what any carb-loving, cheese-obsessed disney adult with a focus in food would do: I recreated it. And let me tell you, it’s even better than I imagined.
Warm, soft pretzel rolls stuffed with a dreamy garlic herb cheese mixture, brushed with garlicky parsley butter, and baked until melty and irresistible. Honestly? It’s the perfect Disney snack without the plane ticket.
And if you're heading to Disney anytime soon and have a baby, here are my top things to pack for your toddler's first Disney trip!
Why You’ll Love It
Think of these cheesy garlic pretzel rolls as the lovechild of soft pretzels, cheesy garlic bread, and the best theme park snack you’ve ever had. The filling is creamy, cheesy, and loaded with garlic and fresh herbs.
Then there’s the garlicky butter glaze that takes it over the top—like, one whiff of these coming out of the oven and you’ll feel like you’re standing on Main Street with Mickey himself.
What I love most is how easy they are. The “pretzel” part is just pretzel hot dog buns from the grocery store (no boiling baking soda water, no yeast dough drama - I found mine at ALDI), which means you can have these ready in under 30 minutes.
Serve them hot from the oven with a side of marinara sauce for dipping, and boom...instant Disney magic at home!
You could even add some red pepper flakes or a sprinkle of parmesan on top for a little twist if you're feeling boojie.
Ingredients & Substitutions
Here’s what you’ll need to make this Disneyland-inspired cheesy pretzel bread:
FOR THE FILLING:
- Garlic herb cheese spread: I used Roth's Garlic and Herb cheese spread. But if you can't find that, Boursin cheese spread works, too. You can also blend cream cheese with minced garlic and fresh herbs in a food processor.
- Italian blend shredded cheese: I love Land O Lake's Italian blend becuase it's so flavorful and melts beautifull. Mozzarella, provolone, or even sharp cheddar will work too.
- Garlic cloves: Fresh grated garlic is key here, but you can use a pinch of garlic powder if needed.
- Fresh parsley: Brings a bright, fresh pop. Dried parsley works in a pinch.
- Garlic powder: Doubles down on that garlicky flavor.
- Pretzel hot dog buns: The shortcut star of the show! You can also use regular soft pretzel rolls or even hoagie rolls if that’s what you have. I got these at ALDI.
FOR THE TOPPING:
- Salted butter: The base of that glossy, garlicky glaze.
- More garlic + parsley: For maximum flavor.
- Kosher salt: Just a pinch to make everything pop.
- Optional: Marinara sauce for dipping because, why not?
How to Make It
Making these cheesy pretzel breads is shockingly simple—no yeast dough, no fuss, just cheesy goodness in less than 30 minutes.
- PREHEAT & MIX THE FILLING: Preheat your oven to 400°F. In a medium-sized bowl, mix the garlic herb cheese spread, shredded Italian cheese, grated garlic, parsley, and garlic powder. Divide the mixture into 5 portions so it’s easy to stuff.
- FILL THE PRETZELS: Carefully split your pretzel buns lengthwise (don’t cut all the way through). Stuff each one generously with 4 portions of the cheese mixture. Then, score the top of each pretzel twice, gently pull the cuts apart, and add the remaining cheesy mixture into those little pockets.
- MAKE THE GARLIC BUTTER: Melt the butter in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Stir in grated garlic, garlic powder, parsley, and a pinch of kosher salt.
- BRUSH & BAKE: Place the stuffed pretzels on a lined baking sheet or baking dish. Brush the tops with the garlic butter, saving a little for after they’re baked. Bake in the middle of the oven for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and just starting to brown.
- FINISH & SERVE: When they’re done, brush with the remaining butter (or a drizzle of olive oil) for that extra glossy finish. Serve immediately, ideally with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
Tips & Variations
- Want extra crunch? Sprinkle parmesan or Italian breadcrumbs on top before baking.
- Add a little heat with crushed red pepper flakes.
- Swap the parsley for fresh basil, chives, or even rosemary.
- Can’t find pretzel buns? Use regular sub rolls or even mini baguettes—still delicious.
These are amazing straight out of the oven but can be reheated in a 350°F oven for 5–7 minutes if you somehow manage to have leftovers. (Spoiler: you probably won’t.)
