Ingredients and Substitutions
- Ground Beef - You could also swap this for ground turkey.
- Onion - White, yellow, sweet or red onion will work just fine.
- Seasoned Salt - Any sort of all purpose salt based seasoning will work perfectly.
- Worcestershire Sauce - Steak sauce could be used but it will taste different.
- Ketchup - If you don't have ketchup, you can use barbecue sauce or even tomato paste.
- Yellow Mustard - Any sort of mustard works in place of yellow mustard.
- Dill Pickles - I used grillo dill pickles and just chopped them up but you could absolutely sub this for sweet pickles or relish if you prefer one over the other.
- Cheddar - Feel free to swap out the cheddar for another melty cheese like american, havarti, pepperjack or even mozzarella.
- Egg roll Wrappers - I get these premade at the grocery store but you could either make them yourself or use a wonton wrapper.
- Vegetable Oil or Cooking Spray- If you're deep frying, you'll need some sort of neutral oil but if you're using an air fryer, grab your cooking spray.
How to make it
Making Disney's Cheeseburger Spring Rolls is actually pretty easy!
First, you'll start by making your cheeseburger mixture.
Add beef, onion and seasoned salt to a fry pan over medium-high heat.
Use a spatula to break up the beef and cook it all the way through.
Strain the fat off if needed and add Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, and chopped dill pickles.
Turn the heat off and add the cheese. Taste and season with salt and pepper if needed.
Now it's time to roll the spring rolls.
Lay a spring roll wrapper on a clean work surface angled like a diamond and add 2-3 tablespoon of the cheeseburger mixture (depending on the size of the wrapper see picture for visual aid) in a line between the two sides.
Tuck the corners in then roll it up from the bottom - wetting your finger on the last corner to seal the springroll closed.
Repeat until all the beef mixture is used up.
If you're using an air fryer:
Simply spritz each spring roll with a little bit of cooking spray and place a few of the spring rolls in the air fryer basket - making sure that there is about 1 inch between each one.
If your airfryer needs to preheat, do so at 380F degrees. If not, just start it up and cook them 8-10 minutes, flipping half way through.
Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
If you're using the deep fryer:
Start by getting your oil ready for frying by heating it up in a deep frying pan to 370F degrees.
Add a few spring rolls at a time making sure not to crowd the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the spring rolls are golden brown and crispy.
Remove from heat and dust with flaky salt. Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
