What is Dill Pickle Cream Cheese?
This Dill Pickle Cream Cheese recipe is inspired by my last trip to New York.
I was waiting in line for a bagel and noticed they had pickle cream cheese.
As a pickle lover, I lit up and had to have it! To my delight, it was the best cream cheese i'd ever had.
Just imagine your favorite bagel, toasted to golden perfection, becoming the canvas for a generous schmear of dill pickle cream cheese.
This isn't just any flavored cream cheese though; it's a concoction where the rich, smooth texture of cream cheese meets the bold, briny zing of dill pickles, along with fresh dill and garlic powder.
Every bite is a delightful pickle packed treat that you will coming back for again and again.
It's the kind of schmear that doesn't just satisfy your hunger; it turns your meal into something you obsess over.
I hope you like it just as much as I do!
Ingredients and Substitutions
- Cream Cheese - Regular cream cheese works best. I haven't tested it on vegan cream cheese but if you do, let me know in the comments!
- High Quality Dill Pickles - Don't skimp on the pickles here. You should try to use a high quality fresh pickle like Grillos, Bubbies, or Clausen.
- Fresh Dill - If you don't have fresh dill, you can either leave it out of sub it for a little bit of dried dill.
- Garlic Powder - Garlic powder is recommended over fresh garlic but you could absolutely use fresh garlic that's turned into a paste if that's what you prefer.

Think of a bagel as your canvas and the dill pickle cream cheese as your paint. A classic everything or sesame bagel works wonders, letting the tangy cream cheese be the star of the show. But if you're feeling adventurous, try an asiago cheese bagel just like me for a cheesy pickly good time.
