These 4 ingredient peanut butter blossom cookies are my go-to easy cookie recipe! This recipe was originally adapted from Ovenly Bakery in NYC.
What are 4 ingredient peanut butter cookies?
If you want the most simple cookie recipe ever, you must try my 4 ingredient peanut butter cookies!
All you need is peanut butter, eggs, brown sugar and chocolate!
If you feel like it, you could also add flaky salt once finished but I always leave that as an optional ingredient.
Since I'm not a baker, this recipe was adapted from Ovenly's super simply peanut butter cookie recipe.
And best of all, not only do my kids love to eat them, but they love to make them, too!
Once you try them, I'm willing to bet that they'll become your new go-to cookie recipe, too!
Ingredients & Substitutions
- Creamy Peanut Butter - I always opt for Skippy creamy peanut butter because it lends the best consistency. You could absolutely use crunchy if you're into that though!
- Brown Sugar - Light brown sugar is what I use but you could also use dark if that's what you have.
- Eggs - There's no real substitution for these 2 room temp eggs so I'd stick to the recipe.
- Chocolate - Whether you're using Skippy's new P.B. Bites or a hershey's kiss or a reeces peanut butter cup, this recipe is totally adjustable depending on what you have!
- **Optional Flaky Salt** - Totally optional but I love a sprinkle of flaky salt on top of sugary cookies!
How to make 4 ingredient peanut butter cookies
Making these easy 4 ingredient peanut butter blossom cookies is a total breeze!
First, you'll want to preheat your oven to 350F degrees.
Meanwhile, you're going to add room temp eggs and brown sugar to a mixing bowl. I recommend using a stand mixer.
Beat on high for 2 minutes or until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Now add in peanut butter and whip for another 2 minutes or until the mixture starts to look like sand.
Scoop out a golf ball size scoop of cookie dough and roll it into a circle.
Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes or until they're slightly darker brown on the bottom.
Once you pull them out of the oven, simply stick your chocolate of choice in the middle and sprinkle with a little sea salt if you're into it.
What goes with peanut butter cookies?
These peanut butter cookies go with everything!
I love making them to go with my Trader Joe's Pumpkin Raviolis, this easy cheesy french onion crockpot potato casserole, or even this Pasta e Ceci.
