My hot honey sauce recipe is a quick and easy way to make this sweet and spicy condiment at home. Honey hot sauce is perfect for wings, pizza, sandwiches, salads and more!
What is Hot Honey Sauce
My easy 3 ingredient hot honey sauce is a seductive blend of sweet honey and fiery chili peppers.
It's the ultimate drizzle for a dance of sweet and spicy on your taste buds.
I like my hot honey to have a little twang so I recommend using Franks Red Hot for a vinegar-y undertone.
To really pack that heat, I also recommend adding a little bit of sriracha. Any brand of sriracha or samball will work just fine!
And yes, of course, you could absolutely buy it yourself. My favorite brand is Mike's Hot Honey.... but if you want to save some money and DIY it, this recipe is perfect!
It's good on so many things! Try it on wings, on sandwiches, made into a salad dressing and of course, drizzled over pizza!
It's like a sweet summer fling that adds a sizzling kick to every dish!
Ingredients and Substitutions
- Honey - Any honey varietal will work. My favorite one to make this recipe with is orange blossom honey but clover, wildflower, etc will also be amazing!
- Sriracha - This adds that really spicy element without overpowering the other flavors. Any brand of sriracha will work but If you can't find it, or prefer to use something else, I recommend trying Sambal or Harissa.
- Frank’s Hot Sauce - This is mainly to add that hot vinegar-y kick which makes this hot honey sauce irresistable! You could also use Lousiana or Crystal.
