This easy sausage gravy and biscuits recipe was something my Grandma would make every weekend. It's a southern recipe that's super easy to make with minimal ingredients.

Ingredients

SAUSAGE GRAVY

  • 1 lb Jimmy Dean Spicy Sausage
  • ¼ cup Flour
  • 2 cups Half n Half
  • Salt and Pepper

TO SERVE

Instructions

  • Add 1 lb of sausage to a cast iron (im using my @ourplace cast iron!) over medium high heat. Use a spatula to break up the sausage.
  • Once it’s crumbled and cooked through, add the flour and stir - making sure that the flour evenly coats the meat. Cook for 2-3 minutes until flour taste is cooked out.
  • Add half n half and scrape the bottom of the pan to get the little tasty bits back into the gravy. Let simmer and bubble for 5 minutes until thickened. Taste and season with salt and pepper
  • At this point it’s ready to serve, but if it thickens up before the biscuits are ready, you can loosen it with some more milk or a tiny bit hot water.
  • To SERVE: Spoon gravy over split biscuits and top with scallions, pink pickled onions and hot sauce!
