4 Ingredient Sausage & Boursin Cheese Pasta Recipe

This 4 ingredient sausage boursin cheese pasta recipe is one of my favorite quick and easy weeknight dinners. All you need is garlic and herb boursin cheese, a jar of tomato basil sauce, a pound of italian sausage and a pound of pasta.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Rigatoni Pasta
  • 1 lb Italian Sausage
  • 1 24 oz jar Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce
  • 1 5.3 oz wheel Boursin Cheese with Garlic & Fine Herbs

Instructions
 

  • Get a pot of salted water boiling for your pasta. Once boiling, add pasta and cook al dente as specified on the box. Once it's done, strain the pasta but reserve a cup of pasta water for later.
  • Meanwhile, add sausage to a large sauce pan or braiser heated over medium-high heat. Use a spatula or meat masher to break the sausage up into tiny crumbles.
  • Once the sausage is cooked through, add the Boursin Cheese and the jar of tomato sauce. Turn the heat down to medium and stir the sauce mixture until combined.
  • Once the cheese has melted into the sauce, add in the al dente pasta and stir to combine. Once all the pasta is coated in the sauce, add half a cup of the reserved pasta water and toss once more to loosen it up.
  • Taste and season with salt and pepper if needed before serving. Optional, but you can also serve with parmesan and a drizzle of good olive oil if you wish.

Notes

If you don't eat meat, simply leave out the sausage - it will be just as delicious!
