Ingredients

For the Sauce

For the Sandwiches

  • 1 pack Hawaiian Rolls (12 rolls)
  • ¾ lb Deli Style Sliced Smoked Turkey such as Boarshead's new Bold PitCraft™ Slow Smoked Turkey Breast
  • ½ lb Smoked Cheddar grated
  • ½ cup cherry peppers chopped

Instructions

For the Brown Sugar Dijon Sauce

  • In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, chili powder, dijon mustard and worcestershire sauce and set aside.

For the Sandwiches

  • Grease a baking pan and pour in enough of the brown sugar chili sauce to coat the bottom of the pan; about 3-4 tbsp.
  • Split the rolls down the middle and pull them apart. Line the pan with the bottom portion of the buns.
  • Lay down the turkey evenly then top with the smoked cheddar.
  • Put the upper half of the buns on top and pour the remaining brown sugar chili sauce on top - making sure to coat and soak each bun. They can sit in the marinade for up to 24 hours.
  • When ready to bake, preheat the oven to 350F degrees and bake uncovered for 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the cheese has melted.

Notes

Personally I think these types of sandwiches are supposed to be a little soggy. But if you don't like them soggy, you can skip pouring the sauce on the bottom fo the dish. Instead, just use a little nonstick spray!
