Baked Brie Gender Reveal

If you're looking for some gender reveal food ideas, why not try this Blueberry or Raspberry Baked Brie! Creamy brie cheese is wrapped in puff pastry and baked until golden brown. The whole thing is drizzled with honey and then cut open to reveal an oozing pink or blue cheesy center!

Ingredients
  

For a girl

  • ½ cup raspberries
  • 1 tablespoon raspberry jam

For a boy

  • ½ cup blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon blueberry jam

For the baked brie

  • 1 egg white whisked
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry 2 typically come in a box
  • 1 wheel of brie
  • 2 tablespoon honey

Instructions
 

For a girl

  • Mash raspberries and raspberry jam in a small bowl and set aside.

For a boy

  • Mash blueberries and blueberry jam in a small bowl and set aside.

For the baked brie

  • Preheat oven to to 375F.
  • Whisk egg white in a small bowl and set aside.
  • Cut off corners of puff pastry and set the scraps aside.
  • Place the sex-specific jam in the middle of the puff pastry then put the brie wheel on top.
  • Wrap the brie halfway and brush the puff pastry with egg wash.
  • Wrap the rest of the puff pastry around the brie and seal it so that no cheese is peaking out.
  • Brush this side with egg wash - making sure that no holes are visible.
  • Now place the puff pastry wrapped brie on a baking sheet - seam side down.
  • Cut a heart shape out of the pastry scraps and place it on top.
  • Brush the top of the whole wheel with egg wash and place in the oven for 25-30 minutes.
  • Once it’s golden brown, remove from oven and drizzle with honey.
  • Have baby’s parent/parents cut into wheel within 10 minutes for the ultimate oozing effect.
  • If it’s bright pink/red it will be a girl - if it’s dark purple/blue it will be a boy!
