Tartine Au Fromage with Avocado + Caramelized Grapefruit Salad

This morning I hosted The Food Network’s Facebook Live and made a super cheesy tartine au fromage (fancy cheese toast) with an avocado and caramelized grapefruit salad! Not only was this the second time that I got to go live in front of way too many people, but it’s also international women’s day, my two year anniversary with Jeremy, and the first day of my period. All pretty great stuff, right?

With such an emotional mix of events happening, I don’t even know what to write about so I’m just going to let the love and emotions flow. Continue reading

As a kid, my favorite time of year was always summer. It might have had something to do with the fact that school was out and that I was born in July, but honestly, summertime was always about the food. 

When I got older and matured into the 30 year old food-obsessed workaholic women that I am, I can still say that I kept that summertime soft spot alive. I absolutely adore all of the sun splashed foods that are associated with the sunshine-y days of freedom. From charred hot dogs dripping with ketchup and mustard to tender melt-in-your-mouth barbecue sandwiches smothered in rich and tangy sauce, all of these handheld eats still scream YES PLEASE.  Continue reading

A Recap of My First Time Hosting The Food Network’s Facebook Live!

 

Can y’all believe it? This young girl right here did her first Facebook live segment for the Food Network yesterday! In all honesty, it was super stressful but also really fucking awesome at the same time. Yesterday I experienced first hand that there’s a huge difference between shooting a cooking video, editing it down to perfection, and then presenting it in tip top shape to your audience that makes it a breeze.
